In the statement made by the association presidents, the aim of the protocol was stated as follows;

To head off unregistered labor and the employment of unregistered foreign workers.

With a more disciplined working life, and especially to do with the labor market; providing a qualified workforce by inspecting whether the foreign workers being brought to our country have the required qualifications, before they arrive in our country.

Additionally, to ensure the deployment of foreign workers with the professions that are needed as well as to ensure that these employees have a work arrangement in which they have auditable, universal and contemporary workers’ rights, and that the rights and interests of these workers are protected.

The protocol also allows for the provision of services to the members of RES-BİR by the CTBCA, acting in cooperation on the basis of executing and recording their work permits from a single point, and take away the TRNC’s image that foreign national workers from a 3rd World country are subject to human trafficking.

Another purpose of the cooperation protocol between CTBCA-RES-BIR regarding work permits; based on the current situation and basic dynamics of the TRNC labor market, and in order to combat unemployment, to solve all the factors that directly or indirectly affect employment and unemployment, and to increase domestic employment in our country, CTBCA and RES-BIR will act jointly and carry their existing cooperation further.

Thanks to this cooperation, RES-BIR members will not have to deposit guarantees for workers who are citizens of 3rd World countries as these guarantees will be met by the associations.
