The Cyprus Turkish Building Contractors Association (CTBCA) and The Federation of the Building Contractors Associations of Cyprus (OSEOK), operating in Southern Cyprus, in their joint statement, expressed their appretiation from the trilateral summit held in New York within the scope of continuing negotiations regarding to resolve the Cyprus problem and their support to leaders of the community. The joint statement of the CTBCA and OSEOK is as follows:
‘’As two non-governmental organizations operating in the north and south of our island, Cyprus Turkish Building Contractors Association (KTİ.MB) and The Federation of the Building Contractors Associations of Cyprus (OSEOK), we have always emphasized the importance of ensuring a lasting settlement in the island, in the framework of our close contacts continuing for years and our bicomunal partnerships.
The point reached on the trilateral summit on the 25th of September, 2016 in New York brought the pleasure of being one step closer to the solution.
We, the two leaders of both communities, for the Cyprus Turkish Building Contractors Association (KT.İ.M.B.) and the Federation of the Building Contractors Associations of Cyprus (O.S.E.O.K.), we express our support to Mustafa AKINCI and Mr. Nikos ANASTASIADIS regarding the process, and we wish that a permanent solution will be reached soon. ”
