You can support the “fight against unlicensed constructions” by just calling 170!
After the illegal construction and unregistered contractors that you informed us by calling ALO 170 are detected, necessary penal sanctions will be applied within the scope of the related law.
The Turkish Cypriot Building Contractors Association is struggling with unlicensed construction and illegal contracting in order to protect the rights of its members and citizens.
Our association put into practice the “Alo 170 report line” on “unlicenced construction and illegal contracting”, which has been increasing day by day in our country and which has made both contractors and buyers uneasy. The ‘ALO 170′ notification line, which is engaged to prevent unlicenced constructions and illegal contracting, identifies illegal contractors and constructions and imposes penal sanctions as required by the related law. CTBCA shows the necessary sensitivity in this matter and informs the relevant authorities about the notifications and ensures that they are monitored and kept under surveillance.
According to the law, those who are unregistered contractors can pay up to 5 (five) years’ imprisonment and minimum wage up to 20 (twenty) times more, and the construction in progress can be stopped until the trial ends. In addition to this, criminal sanctions are applied not only for the illegal contractor but also for the citizen who has contracted illegal construction.
