“We will not accept an exhibition of impotence any further”

Cafer Gürcafer, President of the Cyprus Turkish Building Contractors Association (CTBCA), noted that due to the ongoing uncertainty, they are concerned about the outcome of the current works and the tenders that are going through the sign-off phase.

Expressing that they expect the government to form a crisis desk in the face of the developments, Gürcafer said, “We are waiting for the call. We will not accept the ball being kicked to touch or an exhibition of impotence any further’’

The statements of CTBCA President Cafer Gürcafer on the subject are as follows:

“We are keeping an eye on the Ministry of Finance regarding the outcome of the ongoing works and the tenders that are at the sign-off phase. We expect the government to form a crisis desk in the face of the developments. We are all ears waiting to hear from the Ministry of Finance, but the silence of the ministry has started to worry us all. We are waiting for the call. We will not accept the ball being kicked to touch or an exhibition of impotence any further. There is always a cure. So long as there is intent. So long as our search is to find solutions on the basis of rights, law and justice. You just have to show some spine.”
